Attention Bloomsburg Residents!
Town Council has partnered with the Columbia County Housing and Redevelopment Authority to utilize $2 million in available grant funds for the acquisition and demolition of properties.
If you or someone you know is interested, please contact Betsy Rubio at 570-394-4200 ASAP. These funds must be used by September 2025, and the program is operating on a first-come, first-served basis. This will serve 4-5 homeowners.
This is not a traditional grant application process—rather, it’s a collaborative effort between the homeowner, the Town, and the Authority to make this project happen.
Income limits apply for eligibility. For example, a household of two must have an income below $52,000. Please refer to the table below for specific income limits based on household size.
We recognize that Bloomsburg is not fully protected by a floodwall, and this funding is currently the only available funds at this time to assist affected properties. Meanwhile, the Town continues to support ongoing efforts for future flood protection projects.
