The Town of Bloomsburg is seeking proposals from qualified engineering firms to provide comprehensive municipal engineering services for the 2026 calendar year. The selected firm will serve as the Town Engineer, working closely with Town staff and Council to support infrastructure planning, project oversight, grant development, and other technical initiatives across the community.
Key responsibilities will include cost analysis, bid development and review, construction oversight, schedule and quality management, and project closeout to ensure compliance with state and federal standards, including ADA requirements. The Town emphasizes professionalism, accountability, and responsiveness in all partnerships to ensure that projects are completed efficiently, cost-effectively, and to a high standard of quality.
As part of the proposal, firms are also asked to complete a special review of the 7th Street corridor—from Old Berwick Road to Hazel Street—to assess drainage improvements, pedestrian safety, and potential funding opportunities.
The appointment term will cover the 2026 calendar year, with Town Council reserving the right to appoint other engineers for specific projects as needed. Proposals must include firm qualifications, staff resumes, rate schedules, examples of comparable municipal work, and references. Submissions are due by Friday, November 7, 2025, at 12:00 p.m.
Interviews with the Selection Committee will occur between November 17 and December 9, 2025, with final appointment consideration scheduled for January 2026 during the Town’s Re-Organization Meeting.
