The Bloomsburg Recycling Center is hiring a full time hourly Recycling Driver with benefits. Main hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. Candidates must have their Class B CDL. - $21.32 per hour during the 6 month probationary period. Upon successful completion of the probationary period, the hourly pay in 2023 will be $22.44 per hour.

The Norris E. Rock Memorial Pool has seasonal part-time lifeguard positions available Memorial Day through Labor Day. Flexible hours Sunday through Saturday required. Candidates for Lifeguard must possess current certifications in CPR/ First Aid, Life Guarding and A.E.D. State Police and Child Abuse Clearances are needed. If 18 years and older, you will need an FBI Clearance as well. A training program is available if you don’t have the credentials. Applications may be obtained online. Contracted Flood Damage Assessor (Listed 5/9/2022, posted until filled).
This position is directed at assisting the Code Enforcement Office to conduct property damage assessments during a flooding or other significant disaster event. Selected applicants will receive a block of training on how to perform the job duties. This training period will be 1 day. Subsequent activation during a disaster type event will be for a temporary time frame as directed by the Director of Code Enforcement. Selected and trained applicants will be paid $15 per hour for their service during disaster type events.
Selected applicants will accompany Town employees or designated 3rd party inspectors in performing flood damage assessments of properties. This will include walking and driving through affected areas, speaking with property owners, taking necessary measurements of structures, documenting collected information, and completing reports.
