    • Condition of levee, MSE walls and floodwalls including recent repairs
    • Any encroachment on right-of-ways
    • Transportation facilities, including trucks available, and possible detours
    • Communication devices such as portable radios and cell phones
    • Location of relief organizations

  • Continuous patrol to check for :
    • Seepage, sand boils, or soft areas on slope or toe of levee
    • Embankment slides or sloughs
    • Possible wave washing or scouring
    • Low reaches that may be overtopped
    • Leakage at drainage structures.
    • Any condition or encroachment that might endanger levees, walls, or drainage structures.
